My name is Lorena Pages and I’m a Spanish - born director of photography based in London. I studied media and film studies and I later specialised in cinematography.
Since I was very young I started shooting small music videos and short films with my friends. I have always been very interested in cinematic language, framing and lighting as well as film photography.
When I was 24 I moved to London where I had since combined my work as camera assistant on high-end TV dramas (SS-GB, Taboo, TRUST) and feature films (6 Days, Peter Rabbit, The Kid Who Would be King); along with my work as Director of Photography.
Lately I've been able to just focus on my work as a cinematographer. Mostly in Fashion, with social media campaigns for brands such as LIU JO, AGL or SWAROVSKI, and music videos for upcoming artists such as Lava La Rue, Biig Piig or well stablished bands such as Midland. I have also shot several short films and promos. Some of my credits include the fashion film “A story from living with less” directed by Carlos Jiménez. A commissioned work for the current exhibition “Fashioned from Nature” at the Victoria and Albert museum.
Most recently I have been able to jump into narrative with the help of Tobias Schliessler ASC, who chose me to shot the second unit for the upcoming Warner Brothers film “The Good Liar” starring Ian McKellen and Hellen Mirren.
